Lyrical is suitable for approx age 12+.

Lyrical dance is a beautiful and expressive style that combines elements of ballet, contemporary and jazz to tell a story through movement. Dancers use flowing, emotional choreography, musicality and expressive performance to interpret the lyrics and feeling of a song. The style focuses on fluid movements, lines, extensions, turns and jumps, while encouraging dancers to connect emotionally with the music and communicate a story or message to the audience.

Examinations are available in this style.
